Morgan Caraway
Morgan is a 2019 Covenant Christian Academy graduate who attended Baylor University where she graduated in 2022 with a bachelors degree in electrical & computer engineering. Morgan was a founding member of the CCA Solar Car team and participated for three years on the team where she was a co-captain of both Classic division team in 2018 and the Advanced division team in 2019. Morgan was an intern for the Solar Car Challenge in 2021 and a Jr. Advisor for the CCA Solar Car team in 2022. Morgan is currently a Distribution Planning Engineer at Oncor Electric Delivery who was previously one of our team sponsors and is currently a Title Sponsor of the Solar Car Challenge. In May 2023, Morgan married Evan Rush who is another fellow CCA Solar Car teammate.
Kaya Lane
Kaya is a 2019 Summit Uplift Academy graduate who attended Harvey Mudd College where she graduated in 2023 with a bachelors degree in engineering. Kaya was a founding member of the CCA Solar Car team and participated for three years on the team where she was a co-captain of both Classic division team in 2018 and the Advanced division team in 2019. Kaya is currently a System Protection Engineer at Oncor Electric Delivery who was previously one of our team sponsors and is currently a Title Sponsor of the Solar Car Challenge.
Steven Roe
Steven is a 2019 Covenant Christian Academy graduate who attended Oral Roberts University where he graduated in 2023 with a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. Steven was a founding member of the CCA Solar Car team and participated for three years on the team where he was a co-captain of the Classic division team in 2018. Steven is currently a Manufacturing Engineer at Advanced Industrial Devices.
Evan Rush
Evan is a 2019 Covenant Christian Academy graduate who attended the University of Texas at Dallas where he graduated in 2023 with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering. Evan participated on the team for one year and was a co-captain of the Advanced division team in 2019. Evan was a Jr. Advisor for the CCA Solar Car team in 2022. Evan is currently a System Protection Engineer at Oncor Electric Delivery who was previously one of our team sponsors and is currently a Title Sponsor of the Solar Car Challenge. In May 2023, Evan married Morgan Caraway who is another fellow CCA Solar Car teammate.
Emma Waite
Emma is a 2019 Covenant Christian Academy graduate who attended Southern Methodist University where she graduated in 2023 with a bachelors degree in Bio Medical & Mechanical Engineering. Emma participated on the team for one year in 2019. At SMU, Emma was active team member with their SAE racing team. Emma is now serving as a consulting engineer at a firm in Plano, TX.
Jake Caraway
Jake is a 2021 Covenant Christian Academy graduate who is attending Baylor University and is majoring in electrical and computer engineering. Jake was a founding member of the CCA Solar Car team and participated for five years on the team where he was a team captain of the Advanced Classic division team in 2019 and the Advanced division team in 2021. Jake was a Jr. Advisor for the CCA Solar Car team in 2022 and is currently serving in this role again for 2023.
Tommy Lim
Tommy is a 2021 Covenant Christian Academy graduate who is attending Texas A&M and is majoring in mechanical engineering. Tommy was a team member for two years.
Emma Rush
Emma is a 2021 Covenant Christian Academy graduate who is attending UT Arlington and is majoring in aerospace engineering. Emma was a team member for two years.
Ben Smith
Ben is a 2021 Covenant Christian Academy graduate who is attending Abilene Christian University and is majoring in criminal justice. Ben was a team member for two years.
Kayson Hergert
Kayson is a 2022 Covenant Christian Academy graduate who is attending Texas A&M and is majoring in mechanical engineering. Kayson was a team member for three years and a team captain for the Advanced Classic division team in 2021 and later a co-captain of the Advanced division team in 2022. Kayson is currently serving as a Jr. Advisor for the CCA Solar Car team in 2023.
